Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz skinless and boneless chicken meat, breast or thigh, cut into strips
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 onion sliced
  • 1 red chili deseeded and cut into thick strips
  • 2 oz French bean cut into 2-inch (5cm) strips
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • to taste salt

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients - Start by gathering all your ingredients. Cut the chicken into strips, slice the onion, and prepare the red chili and French beans. Having everything ready will make the cooking process much smoother.
  2. Step 2: Marinate the Chicken - In a bowl, mix the chicken strips with turmeric powder, oyster sauce, and a pinch of salt. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
  3. Step 3: Heat the Oil - Heat the oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Make sure the oil is hot before adding the chicken to get a nice sear.
  4. Step 4: Cook the Chicken - Add the marinated chicken to the hot oil. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Step 5: Add the Vegetables - Once the chicken is nearly cooked, add the sliced onion, red chili, and French beans. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Step 6: Finish the Dish - Pour in the water and sprinkle the sugar over the mixture. Stir well and cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly. Adjust the seasoning with salt if needed.
