Baking Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that your cookies bake evenly.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the light brown sugar and granulated sugar. Pour in the melted butter and mix until well combined. The mixture should be smooth and creamy.
- Step 3: Add the room temperature eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the sugar and butter mixture. Whisk until everything is fully incorporated.
- Step 4: In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and cornstarch. Stir the dry ingredients together until well mixed.
- Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently with a spatula. Be careful not to overmix; just combine until there are no dry streaks.
- Step 6: Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and the chopped milk chocolate bar. This will ensure every bite is filled with chocolatey goodness.
- Step 7: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie to allow for spreading.
- Step 8: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. The centers will look slightly underbaked, which is perfect for that chewy texture.
- Step 9: Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes. Then, transfer them to a cooling rack to cool completely. Enjoy warm or store for later!
Notes
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
- Store cookies in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
- Experiment with different types of chocolate for varied flavors.
