Instructions
  1. Step 1: Preheat the Oven. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Step 3: Cream the Butter and Sugar. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and 1 ½ cups of granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Step 4: Add in the Eggs and Vanilla. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Step 5: Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Step 6: Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ¾ cup of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  7. Step 7: Scoop and Roll. Using a cookie scoop, portion out the dough and roll each ball into the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Step 8: Bake. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Step 9: Cool and Enjoy. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
