Ingredients

For the Pizza:
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 15 ounce can refried beans
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced olives
  • 1 12-16 ounce pizza dough choose thin or thick crust according to preference

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Skillet
  • Baking Sheet or Pizza Stone
  • Spatula

Method

Preparation Steps:
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If using store-bought pizza dough, let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning according to package instructions.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out your pizza dough to your desired thickness (1/2 inch for thick crust, 1/4 inch for thin).
  4. Transfer the rolled-out dough onto your baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread refried beans evenly over the crust, followed by salsa.
  5. Layer the seasoned ground beef over the beans and salsa. Sprinkle shredded cheese generously across the top and add sliced olives.
  6. Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Once out of the oven, let cool for a few minutes. Top with diced tomatoes, sliced green onions, sour cream, and taco sauce before serving.
