Ingredients

For the Steak and Crab:
  • 2 steak prime steak, 6 oz (175g) each Choose high-quality cuts for the best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Essential for seasoning the steak and enhancing flavors.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground black pepper Adds a hint of spice to the dish.
  • 1 lb snow crab legs, 2 clusters Fresh and sweet, the perfect complement to steak.
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped parsley For garnish and a burst of color.
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted Richness that elevates the dish.
  • 2 pieces Lemon wedges A zesty addition that enhances the seafood flavor.

Equipment

  • Grill or grill pan
  • Large pot
  • Meat thermometer
  • Basting brush
  • Serving platter

Method

Instructions:
  1. Start by taking the 2 prime steaks out of the refrigerator and letting them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking. Season both sides generously with salt and ground black pepper.
  2. While the steak is resting, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the snow crab legs and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until heated through. If you prefer, you can also steam the crab legs for a more delicate method. Once done, drain and set aside.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steaks and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check; 130°F (54°C) is perfect for medium-rare.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, brush the steaks with melted unsalted butter for added flavor and richness.
  5. Once the steaks are cooked to your liking, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve the steaks on a platter alongside the snow crab legs. Drizzle any remaining melted butter over the crab and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the crab.

Notes

  • Allow steaks to reach room temperature for even cooking.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Use a meat thermometer to achieve the perfect doneness.
