Stepwise Method:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, powdered sugar, and a dash of salt. Mix well. Add the cold butter and blend until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press about two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of a greased 8x8 inch baking dish.
- Evenly distribute the raspberries over the crust.
- Mix the remaining flour mixture with more cold butter until crumbly, then sprinkle over the raspberries.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the topping is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for at least 10 minutes, then slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Use cold butter for a crumbly streusel topping.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Try substituting raspberries with other berries like blueberries or strawberries.
