Ingredients
  

For the Squares:
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 dash Salt
  • 6 tablespoons Butter cold and cut into pieces
  • 1 cup Fresh raspberries fresh or frozen

Method
 

Stepwise Method:
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, powdered sugar, and a dash of salt. Mix well. Add the cold butter and blend until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Press about two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of a greased 8x8 inch baking dish.
  3. Evenly distribute the raspberries over the crust.
  4. Mix the remaining flour mixture with more cold butter until crumbly, then sprinkle over the raspberries.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the topping is golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool for at least 10 minutes, then slice and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use cold butter for a crumbly streusel topping.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Try substituting raspberries with other berries like blueberries or strawberries.
