Course: Appetizer
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 1 package cream cheese (18-ounce, softened)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper or black pepper
  • 1-2 teaspoons hot sauce (like Tabasco Sauce)
  • 2 teaspoons smoky paprika
  • 1 juice lemon
  • 1 cup blue cheese crumbles
  • 1 teaspoon dried chives or 1 teaspoon freshly sliced chives
  • 1 package honey roasted pecan pieces (3.5-ounce)
  • 1 tablespoon milk (as needed)

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Hand mixer
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula
  • Serving dish

Method

  1. Begin by gathering all your ingredients and allowing your cream cheese to soften at room temperature.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and Greek yogurt. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to beat them together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add in the white or black pepper, hot sauce, smoky paprika, and fresh lemon juice. Mix until well incorporated.
  4. Gently fold in the blue cheese crumbles using a spatula.
  5. Add the dried or fresh chives to the mixture, folding them in just until combined.
  6. If the dip seems too thick, gradually add milk, one tablespoon at a time, mixing until you reach your desired consistency.
  7. Transfer the dip to your serving dish and sprinkle the honey roasted pecan pieces generously on top.
  8. For the best flavor, cover and refrigerate the dip for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free version, use vegan cream cheese and yogurt.
  • Adjust the hot sauce for desired spiciness.
  • This dip can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
