Baking Instructions:
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures your brownies bake evenly.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, add the unsweetened chocolate and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth.
- Step 3: Whisk in the sugar until fully combined. The mixture should be glossy and smooth.
- Step 4: Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Step 5: Gently fold in the all-purpose flour using a spatula. Be careful not to overmix.
- Step 6: If using pecans, fold them in. Toast them in a dry skillet for extra flavor if desired.
- Step 7: Pour the batter into a greased or lined 8x8 inch baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Step 8: Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and enjoy!
