Pita Chips Recipe (Air Fry or Bake!)

These Pita Chips are super crunchy and easy to make! Perfect for dipping with hummus or your favorite sauces.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces pita breads
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • to taste Hummus for serving

  • Air fryer or oven
  • Sharp knife or kitchen scissors
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Cooking spray

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) or your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: Cut each pita bread in half and then into triangles.
  3. Step 3: In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss the pita triangles until evenly coated.
  4. Step 4: For air frying, place seasoned triangles in a single layer and cook for 5-7 minutes, shaking halfway. For baking, arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway.
  5. Step 5: Remove from heat, cool slightly, and serve with hummus or your favorite dip.

Notes

  • Store leftover chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
  • For extra crunch, use cooking spray before baking.
  • Experiment with different seasonings like paprika or cumin for variety!
