Course: Breakfast, Snack
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 1 medium banana
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (or milk of choice, unsweetened recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (creamy natural-style preferred)
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups
  • Spatula

Method

  1. Gather your ingredients: Peel the banana, measure your almond milk, and have your peanut butter, strawberries, and ice cubes on standby.
  2. In your blender, combine the banana, almond milk, peanut butter, frozen strawberries, and ice cubes.
  3. Start your blender on low speed, gradually increasing to high. Blend until smooth. If too thick, add more almond milk.
  4. Taste your smoothie. If you prefer it sweeter, add honey or maple syrup as desired.
  5. Pour the smoothie into a glass. Optionally, top with extra peanut butter or fresh strawberries.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
  • For longer storage, freeze in ice cube trays and blend with almond milk later.
  • Experiment with different fruits like blueberries or raspberries for variety.
