  • 4 sticks (2 cups) unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 3 cups marshmallow fluff or marshmallow creme
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon fine salt or to taste

  • Electric mixer
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Piping Bags and Tips

Method

  1. Cream the unsalted butter in a mixing bowl using an electric mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add marshmallow fluff or marshmallow creme and beat until well combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl.
  3. Gradually add confectioners sugar one cup at a time, mixing on low speed to avoid a sugar cloud, then increase speed to medium until fluffy and smooth.
  4. Pour in vanilla extract and sprinkle in fine salt, beating on medium-high speed for another minute until well combined.
  5. Taste the frosting and adjust salt or sweetness by adding more confectioners sugar as needed.

Notes

  • Ensure butter is at room temperature for a smooth texture.
  • Use food coloring to customize your frosting for special occasions.
