Ingredients
  

For the Hummus:
  • 1 can (15 oz) garbanzo beans drained and rinsed
  • 1-2 Tbsp aquafaba
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 tsp lemon zest optional
  • 3 Tbsp tahini
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/4 tsp fine grain salt
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Drain and Rinse the Garbanzo Beans. Start by opening your can of garbanzo beans. Drain the liquid and rinse the beans under cold water.
  2. Step 2: Combine Ingredients in Food Processor. In your food processor, combine the drained garbanzo beans, aquafaba, lemon juice, tahini, minced garlic, salt, and fresh dill. Add lemon zest if using.
  3. Step 3: Blend Until Smooth. Secure the lid on your food processor and blend until smooth and creamy. Stop to scrape the sides as needed.
  4. Step 4: Taste and Adjust. Taste your hummus and adjust flavors as needed, adding more lemon juice, salt, or dill.
  5. Step 5: Serve and Enjoy! Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish as desired. Serve with veggies, pita, or as a sandwich spread.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • Can be frozen for up to three months; thaw before serving.
  • Experiment with different herbs like parsley or cilantro for variations.
