Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 3 ounces Jello Strawberry Flavor
  • 1 cup ice cold water
  • 16 ounces Cool Whip

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups
  • Refrigerator
  • Spatula

Method

  1. Start by boiling 1 cup of water in a saucepan or kettle. Once boiling, pour the water into a mixing bowl and add the 3 ounces of Jello Strawberry Flavor. Whisk vigorously until the Jello is completely dissolved.
  2. Next, add 1 cup of ice cold water to the dissolved Jello mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Take the 16 ounces of Cool Whip and gently fold it into the Jello mixture. Use a spatula to combine the two, being careful not to deflate the Cool Whip.
  4. Once the Cool Whip is fully incorporated, pour the mixture into the ready-to-use graham cracker crumb crust. Spread it evenly across the crust using the spatula.
  5. Cover the pie with plastic wrap or a lid and place it in the refrigerator. Allow it to chill for at least 4 hours, or until the filling is set.
  6. Once the Jello Pie has set, remove it from the refrigerator. Slice it into wedges and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days.
  • Consider using different flavors of Jello for variety.
  • For a gluten-free version, use a gluten-free graham cracker crust.
