Ingredients
  

  • 6 eggs Fresh and large eggs
  • 1 cup water for steaming

Equipment

  • Instant Pot
  • Trivet or Egg Rack
  • Ice Bath Bowl

Method
 

  1. Gather your ingredients and gear ready to go.
  2. Pour 1 cup of water into the inner pot of your Instant Pot.
  3. Insert the trivet or egg rack into the pot.
  4. Carefully place the 6 eggs on the trivet or egg rack.
  5. Close the lid of the Instant Pot and set the valve to 'sealing'. Select the pressure cook function and set the timer for 5 minutes.
  6. Once the cooking time is completed, allow for a natural pressure release for 5 minutes.
  7. Prepare a bowl filled with ice and water while the eggs are naturally releasing pressure.
  8. After the 5 minutes of natural release, switch the valve to 'venting' to release any remaining pressure.
  9. Transfer the eggs to the ice bath and let them sit for at least 5 minutes before peeling.

Notes

  • Store leftover eggs in their shells in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Peel eggs and store in an airtight container with a damp paper towel to keep them fresh.
  • Older eggs are easier to peel than fresh ones.
