  • 4-6 fillets salmon fresh, or a whole uncut salmon fillet
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lemon fresh, juice of half for seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper

  • Parchment Paper or Foil
  • Meat thermometer
  • Whisk or spoon

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place your salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the salmon, squeeze lemon juice, and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Slice the remaining lemon into thin rounds and place on top of the salmon.
  5. Transfer the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  6. Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer; it should reach 145°F (63°C).
  7. Remove from the oven, let it rest for a couple of minutes, then serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently in the oven to avoid overcooking.
  • Feel free to substitute olive oil with avocado oil or melted coconut oil.
