Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt low-fat variety recommended
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 clove garlic finely minced
  • 1-2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8-1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust based on spice tolerance
  • 1/8-1/4 teaspoon ground pepper freshly ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar adjust to taste

Method
 

  1. Gather all your ingredients and measure them out. This will make the process smoother and quicker.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the 3 egg yolks and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice until they are well combined and slightly frothy.
  3. Add the 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt to the egg yolk mixture. Combine thoroughly until smooth.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic, 1-2 teaspoons of Dijon mustard, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, dried basil, ground cumin, paprika, red pepper flakes, ground pepper, and sugar. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated and the sauce is creamy.
  5. Taste your sauce and adjust the seasoning as needed.
  6. Your Healthy Hollandaise sauce is now ready to be served! Drizzle it over poached eggs, steamed vegetables, or use it as a dip for your favorite dishes. Enjoy!
