Instructions
- Begin by rinsing the fresh string beans under cold water. Trim the ends of the beans to remove any tough bits.
- In a large skillet, melt the 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Allow it to melt completely and start to bubble slightly.
- Add the minced garlic to the melted butter. Sauté for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant. Be careful not to let it burn, as burnt garlic can taste bitter.
- Add the trimmed string beans to the skillet. Stir well to coat them in the garlic butter. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the beans are tender yet still crisp.
- Season the string beans with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well and cook for another minute. Once they are perfectly seasoned, remove from heat and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Feel free to toss in some sliced almonds or sesame seeds for added texture and nutrition.
- This recipe can easily be doubled for larger gatherings or meal prep.
