Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain yogurt provides moisture and tenderness
  • 2 tbsp Challenge salted butter melted for rich flavor
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour plus more for shaping
  • 1 tsp baking soda acts as the leavening agent
  • 1 tsp sugar balances flavors
  • 1/2 tsp salt enhances overall taste
  • to taste Challenge spreadable butter with canola oil for serving

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) so it’s hot and ready for your rolls.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt and melted Challenge salted butter. Stir until well mixed.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir with a wooden spoon or spatula until a dough begins to form. Don’t overmix; just combine until no dry flour remains.
  5. Dust your work surface with flour. Transfer the dough to the surface and gently knead it a few times until it’s smooth. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls.
  6. Place the rolled dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown on top.
  7. Remove from the oven and brush with Challenge spreadable butter with canola oil for a glossy finish. Serve warm and enjoy your Easy No Yeast Dinner Rolls with your favorite dishes!
