Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed according to package directions
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon or spicy mustard
  • 42 slices pepperoni approx, half of a 6-ounce package
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan or Asiago cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Step 3: Roll out your thawed puff pastry sheet to smooth out any creases.
  4. Step 4: Evenly spread the tablespoon of Dijon or spicy mustard over the entire surface of the puff pastry.
  5. Step 5: Place the pepperoni slices evenly over the mustard layer.
  6. Step 6: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan or Asiago cheese evenly over the pepperoni.
  7. Step 7: Sprinkle the Italian seasoning over the cheese layer.
  8. Step 8: Starting from one end, carefully roll the pastry sheet up tightly into a log.
  9. Step 9: Slice the log into approximately 1-inch thick pinwheels.
  10. Step 10: Place the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes.
  11. Step 11: Let them cool for a minute or two before serving.

Notes

  • Assemble and store unbaked pinwheels in the fridge covered for up to 24 hours.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • For reheating, bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes.
