  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 rounded teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg, buttermilk, and melted butter until well combined.
  2. In another bowl, combine sifted flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Pour the dry mixture into the wet ingredients and gently stir until just combined.
  4. Preheat your non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  5. Grease the skillet and pour a ladleful of batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Flip the pancakes and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm, topped with syrup, fruits, or whipped cream.
