Ingredients
  

  • 6 ounces chocolate chips or chopped chocolate semi-sweet, milk, or dark chocolate based on preference
  • 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream use more for a thinner consistency

  • Fondue pot or heat-safe bowl
  • Dipping skewers or forks

Method
 

  1. Begin by placing the chocolate chips or chopped chocolate into a double boiler or a microwave-safe bowl. If using a microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is fully melted. If using a double boiler, fill the bottom pot with water and allow it to simmer gently. Stir the chocolate until smooth and glossy.
  2. Once the chocolate is melted, slowly pour in the heavy whipping cream. Using a whisk or spatula, gently stir the mixture until fully combined. If you want a thinner consistency, feel free to add more cream until you reach your desired texture.
  3. Carefully pour the melted chocolate mixture into a fondue pot or a heat-safe bowl. If using a fondue pot, turn on the heat to keep the chocolate warm and melted.
  4. While your chocolate is warming, prepare an array of dippable treats. Fresh fruits like strawberries, bananas, and apples work beautifully, as do marshmallows, pretzels, and cubes of cake. Arrange them on a platter for easy access.
  5. Grab your skewers or forks, dip your chosen treats into the warm chocolate fondue, and savor every mouthful. Don’t forget to share the experience with friends and family!
