Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 (10-oz) bags finely shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix
  • 1 cup finely chopped carrots

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Serving dish

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, white vinegar, sugar, dry mustard, and salt. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  2. In another bowl, add the finely shredded cabbage and chopped carrots. Toss them together to ensure even distribution.
  3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots. Gently mix everything together until the vegetables are fully coated in the dressing.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least one hour. This allows the flavors to meld together beautifully.
  5. Once chilled, give the cole slaw a quick stir before serving. Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy as a side with your favorite meals!

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container to retain freshness.
  • Keep it chilled and consume within three days for best taste.
  • Mix before serving to redistribute the dressing.
