Ingredients

  • 15.25 ounces yellow cake mix
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 teaspoons caramel flavoring
  • 12 ounces salted caramel candy melts

Equipment

  • Baking pan
  • Mixing bowls
  • Electric mixer
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Spatula

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix with the instructions on the package. Mix well until a smooth batter forms. Spread this batter evenly in the bottom of your prepared baking pan.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the caramel flavoring using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  4. Gently spoon the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter in the baking pan. Use a spatula to spread it evenly, covering the cake mix entirely.
  5. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
  6. While the cheesecake bites cool, melt the salted caramel candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
  7. Once cooled, cut the cheesecake into bite-sized squares. Dip each square into the melted caramel coating, ensuring they are fully covered. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Refrigerate the coated bites for about 30 minutes to allow the caramel coating to set.
  9. Once the caramel has hardened, your Caramel Cheesecake Bites are ready to be served. Enjoy the creamy, rich flavors with family and friends!
