Ingredients

  • 8 pieces Carrots rinsed and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons Smoked paprika
  • 1/2 cup Blue cheese crumbles

  • Sharp knife
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Whisk

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse the carrots under cold water and pat them dry. Cut off the tops and bottoms, then slice them into sticks or rounds.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, hot sauce, honey, onion powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Whisk everything together until well mixed.
  4. Add the carrot sticks to the bowl with the sauce and toss until they are evenly coated.
  5. Spread the coated carrots out on the prepared baking sheet and roast for about 20-25 minutes, or until they are tender and slightly charred.
  6. Once done, remove them from the oven and sprinkle the blue cheese crumbles on top while they are still hot.
  7. Transfer the Buffalo Carrots to a serving platter and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a vegan option, replace honey with maple syrup.
  • Experiment with your favorite hot sauce for different heat levels.
  • These are best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
