Ingredients
  

For the Tortilla Bowls:
  • 4 count Flour Tortillas 12-inch, large burrito-sized
  • 4 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
For the Filling:
  • 1 pound Ground Meat beef, chicken, or turkey
  • 1 can Beans black beans or pinto beans
  • 1 cup Diced Tomatoes
  • 2 cups Shredded Lettuce
  • 1 cup Chopped Onions
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese cheddar or Monterey Jack
  • 1 count Avocado sliced or diced
  • 1 cup Sour Cream for topping
  • 1 cup Salsa your favorite kind

Equipment

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush both sides of each tortilla with vegetable oil.
  2. Drape each tortilla over the back of an upside-down muffin tin or an oven-safe bowl to create a bowl shape. Bake for about 10-15 minutes until golden and crispy.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground meat over medium heat. Drain excess fat, add taco seasoning and a splash of water, and let it simmer.
  4. Assemble the salad by layering seasoned meat, black beans, and fresh veggies in the tortilla bowls.
  5. Add shredded cheese, avocado, and a dollop of sour cream on top. Drizzle with salsa.
