Ingredients
  

For the Custard:
  • 2 eggs Eggs fresh
  • 2/3 cup Milk whole or preferred type
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon ground
  • 1 pinch Salt
For the French Toast:
  • 6-8 slices Brioche bread sliced 1/2 inch thick
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Maple syrup for serving

Method
 

Preparation Steps:
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined and smooth.
  2. Dip the brioche slices into the custard mixture one at a time, soaking each for about 20-30 seconds on each side.
  3. Preheat your non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat, adding butter or oil if desired.
  4. Place the soaked brioche slices onto the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Transfer the cooked French toast to serving plates, dust with powdered sugar, and serve with maple syrup.

Notes

  • Customize the milk for dietary preferences: almond, soy, or oat milk work great!
  • For a vegan option, substitute eggs with flax eggs.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
