Cooking Instructions:
  1. In a large pot, combine 2 quarts of water and 2 tablespoons of kosher salt. Bring the water to a rolling boil over high heat.
  2. Once the water is boiling, add the 2 pounds of large shrimp, ensuring they are fully submerged. Stir gently to prevent sticking.
  3. Allow the shrimp to cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook them.
  4. While the shrimp are cooking, melt 8 tablespoons of butter in a separate saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

  6. Serve the shrimp warm with extra lemon wedges on the side or chilled with cocktail sauce.

Notes

  • Ensure you use the freshest shrimp for the best flavor.
  • Don’t skip the salt in the boiling water to enhance the shrimp's sweetness.
