Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the cake mix box. Prepare the cake batter by combining the yellow cake mix with the required eggs, oil, and water. Mix until smooth and pour the batter into your greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake as directed until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Step 2: Once the cake is baked and has cooled for about 15 minutes, use a toothpick or skewer to poke holes all over the top of the cake.
- Step 3: Warm the dulce de leche slightly in the microwave for easy pouring. Pour the dulce de leche over the poked cake, ensuring it fills the holes and covers the top. Let it sit for about 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Step 4: In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream and vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer, whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
- Step 5: Slice the bananas and layer them on top of the soaked cake. Spread the whipped cream evenly over the bananas.
- Step 6: Sprinkle the chopped toffee pieces over the whipped cream for a delightful crunch. Drizzle additional dulce de leche over the top.
- Step 7: Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours before serving. Cut into squares and enjoy!
Notes
- Use ripe bananas for the best flavor.
- Chill the cake for optimal flavor absorption.
