Ingredients
  

For the Plantains:
  • 1 large ripe plantain (mostly black with some yellow skin)
  • 1 teaspoon avocado oil (or any neutral-flavored oil)
  • to taste sea salt

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Plantain - Start by peeling the plantain. Cut off both ends, then score the skin lengthwise and gently peel it away.
  2. Step 2: Slice the Plantain - Cut the plantain into thick slices, about 1-inch wide. You can slice them diagonally or straight.
  3. Step 3: Season the Plantains - In a bowl, toss the sliced plantains with the avocado oil and sea salt.
  4. Step 4: Preheat the Air Fryer - Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Step 5: Arrange the Plantains - Place the seasoned plantain slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Step 6: Cook to Perfection - Air fry the plantains for about 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  7. Step 7: Serve and Enjoy! - Once cooked, remove the plantains and serve them warm as a snack or side dish.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat in the air fryer to restore crispiness.
