Ingredients

  • 2 large russet potatoes washed and cut into strips
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or canola oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring spoons

Method

Directions
  1. Start by washing the russet potatoes thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt. Peel the potatoes if desired, then cut them into even strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Soak the cut potato strips in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the dried potato strips with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, and kosher salt. Toss until evenly coated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the seasoned fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  5. Once golden brown and crispy, remove the fries from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftover fries in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, place fries back in the air fryer for a few minutes to restore crispiness.
  • For longer storage, freeze uncooked, seasoned fries in a single layer before transferring to a freezer-safe bag.
