Directions
- Start by washing the russet potatoes thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt. Peel the potatoes if desired, then cut them into even strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Soak the cut potato strips in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the dried potato strips with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, and kosher salt. Toss until evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the seasoned fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Once golden brown and crispy, remove the fries from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Store leftover fries in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, place fries back in the air fryer for a few minutes to restore crispiness.
- For longer storage, freeze uncooked, seasoned fries in a single layer before transferring to a freezer-safe bag.
